[...] I finally found a pregnancy lap swim suit and love it. We ended up ordering it online. We ordered the size they suggested for the size my regular suit was and it ended up being too large, so I ordered another one a size smaller. I still have the unused medium size thinking I may get big enough to fit into it near the end, but not sure if I will need it now. It’s a Lycra suit, so won’t last much longer than this pregnancy as the chlorine tends to eat them quickly. Not pregnant I wear a polyester suit now, which lasts and lasts and lasts… as the sales people say you will get tired of the style way before it wears out! I have to have thin straps on my polyester suits otherwise I get chapped marks on my neck and it looks like I have hickeys all the time. Putting on Vaseline on my neck prior to a swim workout also used to help. Lycra does not bother me. [...]

Let me share my experiece with Giovanna. We were at an open house featuring Giovanna's jewelry. My 78 year old mother won the grand prize. Giovanna and her friend Shane Esposito, a personal trainer, loudly joked and made nasty comment about my mom's age and weight. This was overheard by me and many of the guests and completely humiliated my mother.

THis clearly shows her level of professionalism and the type of person she is at heart. Mean spirited and a dark soul. Think about what she says about her customers behind their backs!

Hi - just wanted to say that as far as I am concerned this is your blog and you can say what you like, after all its meant to be a genuine expression of your feelings. Pregnancy is of course wonderful but during it we don't always feel wonderful. Its not always that easy - I was ok with the first three but the fourth was a real slog and I was heartily glad when it was over. Anyway best wishes to you and your family.

[...] Julessilver · My never ending lower back pain – February 2005 I was in the gym doing an assisted squat on a smith machine and hurt my back, it was not the first time. I have hurt my back several times in the past, the first time I remember hurting it was when I was about 15 years old and I was working at a grocery store. I am not sure what happened, but I must of leaned the wrong way to lift something, the next 2 days I could not move. [...]

I have four children and I started nesting at an earlier stage with each pregnancy. With the fourth it was ridiculous. I bought so much food that we broke the conveyor belt at the checkout. There was so much food stored in the house that I had to start keeping it in the garage. I felt that I had to have enough food to last a year - goodness only knows why!

Hang in there; it's definitely no fairy tale. It also seems worse when you have a munchkin running around that wants to be held. When it's all over, you will hardly remember it.

found this thread like many of the others because i am trying so very hard to keep up with my lap swimming at 19 weeks pregnant! My comfortable racing suit is becoming uncomfortably tight and restricting movement in my shoulders but can i find anything other than tankinis or MASSIVE tents which will probably just fall down! Serious gap in the market!

Julia! My first thought when seeing your photo was: "Wow! Julia is still tiny at 17 weeks!" You look great. Put your scale away for a while! It sounds like you're an active person, try not to worry about the weight. I know it's hard, but just think "healthy baby". That's most important, right?
